Texting

inTouch enables you to send text messages to your customers – either to support the operation of the store or to enhance your marketing effort.

Operations

inTouch can be set to send a text to your customer as the driver leaves the store, for example, “Your Perfect Pizza is on its way – please have £16.50 ready”. This can save time for the driver at the delivery point, particularly when there is a security barrier like a students’ hall of residence.

Marketing

It’s Tuesday night, the phones aren’t ringing and the drivers are fooling around and annoying you. So make something happen. Send out 100 or 200 text messages to customers who haven’t ordered from you in the last 2 or 3 months. Send them a special offer which isn’t on your menu – ask them to quote a reference to make it easy for you to measure the success.

You can set the criteria for which of your customers receive text messages.

When you repeat the process, inTouch will ignore the customers who have already been sent this promotional message.

You can change your promotional message whenever you like.

inTouch enables you to target your customers living within a particular postcode, or postcodes.

Customers who choose to “opt out” from receiving text messages can be excluded.

You can now pre-program inTouch to send out promotional messages at a set time on set days of the week.

Text messaging works. The Marketing Director of a national chain of pizza delivery stores using inTouch reported an average 4% response with an average 675% return on cost.

Cost

Text messages cost 8p each, subject to a minimum order of £100, payable in advance. Texts reduce in price to 7½p each when you spend between £250 and £499 and to 7p when you spend £500 or more. Broadband required.

The Text Messaging module for inTouch is optional and costs £100.
